Founder & CEO — OSAN Ability · Sydney, Australia
"We can run a business based on compassion and make money at the same time."

About
Born in Karachi, Pakistan, and educated at NED University of Engineering and Technology and Cranfield University in the United Kingdom, Dr. Omer Shahab Khan began his career in telecommunications and research engineering in the UK before building a distinguished corporate career with global technology giants including IBM, HP, Cisco and Siemens — mastering people, program, portfolio and finance management along the way.
But something was missing. His family had been devoted to community service since his childhood, and watching older and disabled members of his own family receive care from providers "only focusing on margins and profits" — where dignity was absent — changed the course of his life.
In 2017 he walked away from a secure corporate position to found OSAN Ability in Sydney. Industry voices said a care business couldn't run on compassion. Within two years, the company was profitable and expanding across Australia.
"I believe in listening to my team, the community, and my clients." A guide, not a director.
Integrated client, rostering, billing and compliance systems that cut costs and lift care quality.
New staff spend their first days on dignity, respect and the human side of caregiving.
"In business, the more you give to the community, the more you will grow."

Philosophy · As featured in Forbes
Many believe compassion is a soft skill, a luxury. I say it's the ultimate strategic advantage.
A framework that prioritises dignity, empathy and human outcomes over conventional business metrics.
An isolated, suicidal client who had lost his legs asked for one thing — a garden. OSAN built wheelchair-accessible garden beds. He rediscovered purpose and became the company's most vocal ambassador.
OSAN spends far less on marketing than competitors — because compassion itself drives growth.
